torx fastener Full Range Introduction and Selection

Torx (six-lobe star) fasteners are widely used in automotive, electronics, machinery and new-energy industries for even load distribution, cam-out resistance, auto-friendly driving and high torque transfer. Our range covers T6 to T60 in multiple head styles, materials and security versions. This article introduces the range and selection points.

Drive Size Coverage

The range uses T numbers: T6/T8/T10/T15 for electronics and small screws; T20/T25/T27/T30 are the most common for chassis, automation and general structure; T40/T45/T50/T55/T60 for high-strength high-torque joints. Each drive matches a thread size—e.g. T25 with M4-M5, T30 with M5-M6, T40 with M6-M8.

The drive number must match the screw recess, and matching bits are required.

Head Styles and Materials

Heads include socket cap, pan, countersunk and flange torx. Socket cap suits high-torque structures; flange heads remove flat washers and give large bearing surfaces; countersunk heads sit flush. Carbon alloy steel offers grade 8.8/10.9; stainless 304/316 gives rust protection; aluminum or brass are available for special cases.

Security Versions and Finishes

For security cameras, charging piles and outdoor gear needing anti-tamper protection, we offer pin-torx screws requiring hollow security bits. Finishes include zinc, dacromet and natural stainless; outdoor high-strength projects commonly use dacromet.

Selection and Customization

Select by torque to set thread size and grade, by clearance to choose head, by environment for material/finish, and by anti-tamper needs for pin versions. Standard sizes are stocked; non-standard lengths, special threads and washer assemblies can be drawn.
